Description

The Caudron G4 was a French two-seat reconnaissance and artillery observation biplane aircraft of World War I. It was designed and built by the Caudron company, and was the first in a long line of very successful two-seat reconnaissance and artillery observation aircraft produced by the company in the years leading up to World War II. The Caudron G4 saw service with the French, British, Italian and Belgian air forces in World War I, and was also used by the United States Army Air Service.

The Caudron G4 is an incredibly rare aircraft, with only a handful of surviving examples in existence. The aircraft is currently available for sale from a variety of sources, including private collectors and museums. Prices for a Caudron G4 range from $50,000 to over $200,000, depending on condition and provenance.
