Description

The Piper Geronimo was a single-engine aircraft produced by Piper Aircraft between 1958 and 1962. The aircraft was designed to appeal to the private pilot market and was intended to be a high-performance, low-cost aircraft. It was powered by a Lycoming O-290-D2 engine producing 130 horsepower. It had a maximum range of 500 nautical miles and a maximum speed of 130 knots. The aircraft could accommodate four people and had a maximum take-off weight of 2,200 lbs. The Piper Geronimo had a unique design with a T-tail and a slightly swept-forward wing. It was the first Piper aircraft to feature tricycle landing gear. The aircraft was also equipped with a unique feature, the "Geronimo Wing", which provided greater lift and stability at lower speeds.
