Description
The MiG-21UM ("Mongol-B") is a single-seat multi-role fighter and trainer developed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau in the Soviet Union. It is a two-seat variant of the MiG-21PFM, a single-seat fighter aircraft. The MiG-21UM is powered by a Tumanskij R25-300 turbojet engine and is equipped with the Saphir-21 fire-control system. It has a maximum speed of 1,400 km/h and a range of 1,600 km. It is armed with two 23mm cannons and can carry a range of air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles and bombs. It is used by a number of countries, including Russia, India, and China.
