Description

The Bell 212 Eagle Single is a two-seat, single-engine, light helicopter designed and manufactured by Bell Helicopter. It is based on the Bell 212 Twin, but with a single engine and a simplified avionics suite. The 212 Eagle Single was first introduced in 1988 and is used mainly for private and commercial operations, such as aerial photography, charter flights, sightseeing tours, and law enforcement. It is powered by a 1,000 shp (746 kW) Pratt & Whitney PT6T-3B engine and has a maximum speed of 150 knots (278 km/h) and a range of up to 500 nm (926 km). The 212 Eagle Single has a maximum takeoff weight of 8,500 lb (3,855 kg) and can carry up to four passengers in addition to the pilot.
