Description
The Britten Norman BN-2T Islander is a twin-engine light utility aircraft that was designed and manufactured by Britten-Norman of the United Kingdom. It is a high-wing, twin-turboprop aircraft that was first introduced in 1967 and has since become a popular choice for regional airlines, private charter operations, corporate transport, and aerial survey operations. It has a capacity of up to nine passengers and can be configured with a cargo pod for air freight transport. The BN-2T Islander is powered by two Lycoming TIO-540-A2A engines, producing 350 hp each. It has a top speed of 170 mph and a maximum range of 1,040 miles. The aircraft is certified to operate in day and night VFR and IFR conditions, and it has been certified in over fifty countries.
