Description

The Bell 412HP (also known as the Twin Huey) is a four-bladed, twin-engine, medium-lift helicopter. It is manufactured by Bell Helicopter, a subsidiary of Textron. The Bell 412HP is a development of the Bell 212, and is used for transport, search and rescue, and other utility operations. It can seat up to 12 passengers and can reach a maximum speed of 150 knots (278 km/h). It is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6T-3D turboshaft engines, and has a range of 412nmi (463mi; 745km) with an endurance of 3 hours. It is equipped with a four-axis autopilot, state-of-the-art avionics, and dual digital flight control systems. The Bell 412HP is also equipped with a cargo hook and an external hoist.
