Description

The Gulfstream IV (model GIV) is a long-range, large cabin, intercontinental business jet manufactured by Gulfstream Aerospace, a General Dynamics company based in Savannah, Georgia, USA.
The GIV was the first of the Gulfstream series to feature a supercritical wing design for increased efficiency, and was the first aircraft to feature an all-glass cockpit. It has a range of over 4,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.80 and a cabin that can accommodate up to 19 passengers. It is powered by two Rolls-Royce Tay engines, each rated at 16,100 pounds of thrust.
The GIV was introduced in 1987 and is still in production today. Over 500 have been produced, with over 200 still in service. It is commonly used by government agencies, wealthy individuals, and corporate customers. The GIV is also used by some air ambulance services.
