Description
The Pilatus PC-9/A is a single-engine turboprop aircraft manufactured by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland. It was designed as a military trainer and first flew in 1984. The PC-9/A is the most popular version of the PC-9 series, and is still in production today. The aircraft features a low-wing monoplane design, a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-62 engine, and retractable tricycle landing gear. It has a maximum speed of 288 mph (463 km/h) and a range of 1,100 miles (1,770 km). The PC-9/A can be configured to carry a variety of armaments, including rockets, bombs, and machine guns. It is used by military forces in several countries around the world, including Australia, Canada, Indonesia, and Thailand.
