Description
The McDonnell Douglas TA-4J Skyhawk is a two-seat supersonic trainer aircraft developed for the United States Navy (USN). It is a variant of the A-4 Skyhawk attack aircraft and entered service in 1968. It is powered by a single Wright J65-W-16 turbojet engine and can reach speeds of up to 855 km/h (532 mph). It has a range of 1,823 km (1,136 miles) and can carry a variety of weapons. The TA-4J was used by the USN and Marine Corps, as well as several other countries, until its retirement in the late 1990s.
