1997 Eurocopter EC-135-T1
Description
The Eurocopter EC-135-T1 is a twin-engined light utility helicopter produced by Eurocopter. It was the first turboshaft-powered model in the EC-135 range of helicopters. The EC-135-T1 was introduced in 1997, replacing the piston-powered EC-135P1. It is powered by two Turbomeca Arrius 1A1 turboshaft engines, each of which is rated at 735shp. The EC-135-T1 is mainly used for corporate, VIP and air ambulance transport, as well as for law enforcement and military purposes.
The EC-135-T1 is equipped with a four-blade main rotor and a four-blade tail rotor. It has a maximum speed of 180mph (290km/h) and a range of up to 410mi (660km). The EC-135-T1 has a maximum takeoff weight of 5,607lb (2,540kg). It can accommodate up to seven passengers, depending on the configuration. The helicopter is also equipped with an advanced avionics suite, including a digital autopilot, dual navigation systems and a weather radar.
