2000 Bell 427
Description
The Bell 427 is a light, twin-engine helicopter that was produced by Bell Helicopter from 1998 to 2009. It is a modified version of the popular Bell 407 and was designed to improve on many of the features of the earlier model. It features a five-blade main rotor and a four-blade tail rotor and is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW207D1 engines. The Bell 427 has a maximum speed of 150 knots (172 miles per hour) and a range of up to 500 nm (564 miles). It can carry up to 11 passengers or 1,500 lbs of cargo. The Bell 427 is used in a variety of roles including passenger transport, EMS, law enforcement, firefighting, and military operations.
