Description
The Eurocopter EC 225 Super Puma is a twin-engine medium-lift helicopter developed and manufactured by Eurocopter. It is the successor to the Eurocopter AS 332 Super Puma, and is primarily used for offshore support operations. The helicopter entered service with the French Air Force and Royal Danish Air Force in 2003. It is capable of seating up to 24 passengers, can fly at a maximum speed of 278 km/h (173 mph), and has a range of up to 907 km (565 miles). It is equipped with a range of advanced avionics, including a four-axis autopilot, digital mapping system, and satellite navigation. It is also equipped with a search and rescue hoist and an external cargo hook.
