Description

The AgustaWestland AW139 is a medium-sized twin-engine helicopter manufactured by AgustaWestland. It was designed as an evolution of the A109, with increased cabin size, more powerful engines, greater flight performance, and improved avionics. It is used for a variety of roles, including VIP/corporate transport, offshore transport, search and rescue, firefighting, law enforcement, and emergency medical services. It can accommodate up to 13 passengers in a typical configuration, or up to 15 in a high-density configuration. It is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PT6C-67C turboshaft engines, which give the AW139 a maximum cruise speed of 155 knots (178 mph).
