2010 Sikorsky S92
Description
The Sikorsky S92 is a medium-lift, twin-engine rotorcraft designed and manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft. It was first introduced in 2004 and is primarily used for offshore oil transportation, search and rescue, and VIP transport. The S92 is powered by two General Electric CT7-8A turboshaft engines, which provide a maximum speed of 165 knots (190 mph, 306 km/h) and a range of 500 nautical miles (575 mi, 926 km). It can accommodate up to 19 passengers in a standard configuration and up to 22 passengers in a high-density configuration. The S92 features an advanced avionics suite, as well as an enhanced safety system, which includes a total of four inertial reference systems and three automatic flight control systems.
