Description

The Eurocopter Super Puma EC 225LP is a twin-engine helicopter manufactured by Airbus Helicopters. It is designed for long-range operations and is used for offshore transport of personnel, search and rescue, and oil and gas operations. The EC 225LP has a maximum range of 620 nautical miles and can carry up to 19 passengers. It is powered by two Turbomeca Makila 1A1 turboshaft engines, each producing 1,940 shaft horsepower. The EC 225LP is equipped with a full suite of avionics and navigation systems, including a four-axis autopilot and a high-resolution terrain-following radar. The EC 225LP also features a canted tail rotor and a Fenestron shrouded tail rotor for improved safety and maneuverability.
