Description
The Bell 407GX is a four-bladed, single-engine civil utility helicopter manufactured by Bell Helicopter. It is a more powerful version of the Bell 407, and is powered by a Rolls-Royce/Allison 250-C47B/3 turboshaft engine, giving it a maximum cruise speed of 140 knots (259 km/h). It features an advanced four-axis autopilot system, a glass cockpit, and a new tail rotor design for improved performance. It can carry up to seven passengers and has a maximum range of 540 nautical miles (1,000 km). The Bell 407GX is used for a variety of missions, including corporate transport, passenger transport, aerial photography, aerial survey, law enforcement, and search and rescue.
