Description

The Cessna Citation Excel is a medium-sized business jet manufactured by Cessna. It was announced in October 1997 and first flew on December 21, 1999. It was certified on August 18, 2001, and entered service later that year. It is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW545A turbofan engines and has a maximum range of 2,115 nautical miles (3,921 km). The aircraft is typically configured to seat up to 10 passengers, but can be outfitted to carry up to 12 passengers. It is typically used for long-distance flights and can reach a top speed of 488 knots (900 km/h). The Excel features upgraded avionics and a cabin that is wider and taller than the Citation V Ultra, allowing for more passenger and luggage space.
