1979 Beechcraft B-60 Duke
Description
The Beechcraft B-60 Duke is a four-seat, twin-engine light aircraft produced by the Beech Aircraft Corporation and is the successor to the Beechcraft Bonanza model A36. The B-60 was first introduced in 1974 and was in production until 1983, when it was replaced by the Beechcraft Baron. The B-60 was powered by two Lycoming IO-540-C4B5 engines, producing 250 horsepower each. The aircraft had a cruising speed of 184 knots (213 mph) and a range of 1,020 nautical miles (1,185 mi). The aircraft was equipped with a variety of avionics, including a Bendix-King KFC-200 autopilot, a Garmin GNS-430 GPS and a Garmin MX-20 multifunction display. The aircraft was also equipped with a variety of safety features, including an emergency locator transmitter, an ELT, a fire extinguisher and a smoke detector. The B-60 was used primarily for personal and business travel, as well as for aerial photography and other light utility work.
