1982 Cessna Citation II Model 550
Description
The Cessna Citation II (Model 550) is a small, twin-engine corporate jet aircraft. It was the first of the Citation family of aircraft, and was superseded in production by the Citation II/SP. It was produced by Cessna from 1977 to 1985, and a total of 603 were built.
The Citation II was powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D-4 turbofan engines, each rated at 2,400 lbf (10.7 kN) of thrust. The aircraft had a maximum speed of Mach 0.77, a range of 1,845 nautical miles (3,410 km), and a service ceiling of 45,000 ft (13,716 m). It had a maximum takeoff weight of 18,000 lb (8,165 kg).
The Citation II was typically configured to seat 8 passengers, although some operators opted for a 7-passenger layout. The cabin was typically equipped with a galley, lavatory, and a pressurized baggage compartment.
The Citation II is still in operation today, although it has largely been replaced in the market by newer and more efficient aircraft. The aircraft is well-known for its durability, reliability, and its relatively low operating costs.
