Description
The Fairchild Swearingen Merlin III-C is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft manufactured by Fairchild Swearingen in the United States. The aircraft was developed as a multi-role transport and utility aircraft, primarily used for corporate, regional and charter flights. The Merlin III-C is equipped with two Pratt & Whitney PT6A-28 turboprop engines, each of which produces 1,100 shaft horsepower. The aircraft is capable of reaching a top speed of 270 knots and has a maximum range of 1,400 nautical miles. The Merlin III-C can accommodate up to seven passengers and has a maximum payload of 1,600 pounds.
