The Robinson R44 is a four-seat light helicopter manufactured by the Robinson Helicopter Company. It was first produced in 1992 and is the world's best-selling light helicopter. It is powered by a Lycoming IO-540-AE1A5 engine, producing a maximum of 210 horsepower. The R44 has a cruise speed of 90 knots and a range of 250 nautical miles. The aircraft is equipped with a two-bladed main rotor system and a two-bladed tail rotor. It has an empty weight of 1,473 pounds and a maximum take-off weight of 2,400 pounds.
