Description
The Airbus A318 Elite is a twin-engine, medium-range, single-aisle commercial jet airliner produced by Airbus. It is the smallest of the three members of the A320 family of airliners and has a maximum capacity of 132 passengers. It is powered by two CFM International CFM56-5B4 turbofan engines and has a maximum take-off weight of 73,000 kg (161,000 lb). The A318 Elite also has a range of up to 3,700 nautical miles (6,900 km). It is typically used on short-haul routes, and is ideal for high-density traffic. It has an operating cost per seat mile that is lower than that of its larger siblings.
