2012 Seawind 3000 Turbine Conversion
Description
The Seawind 3000 turbine conversion is a project to convert the existing Seawind 3000 sailplane into a turbine-powered aircraft. The conversion involves replacing the standard piston engine with a more powerful turbine engine. This conversion will allow the aircraft to reach higher altitudes and fly faster than it could before. Additionally, the turbine engine will reduce the operating costs of the aircraft due to its increased fuel efficiency. The conversion is being carried out by a team of engineers and technicians in the U.S. and is expected to be completed in 2021.
