Piper PA-14 Family Cruiser for Sale — Four-Seat Cub Heritage

The Piper PA-14 Family Cruiser is the four-seat member of Piper's immediate postwar Cub-derived family — an aircraft whose side-by-side front seating and rear bench accommodating two children or one adult passenger expanded Piper's appeal to the family market that the strictly two-seat J-3 and PA-11 could not serve. The PA-14's Lycoming O-235 engine at 115 horsepower provided adequate power for the four-seat mission, and the aircraft's high-wing configuration, fabric covering, and conventional tailwheel maintained the practical utility that Piper had established in the Cub family. Produced only from 1948 to 1950 in relatively small numbers, the PA-14 is among the rarer postwar Piper designs, making well-preserved examples sought after by collectors of the complete Piper family story.
