What the PC-24 actually represents is a revolution in the light jet category — the world's first business jet designed from the outset for both paved runway and unprepared surface operations, capable of landing on grass, gravel, or dirt strips as short as 2,690 feet while offering a pressurized cabin, Williams FJ44-4A turbofan performance, and Honeywell Primus APEX avionics that would not embarrass a Phenom 300 or Citation CJ4. Certified in 2017, the PC-24 opened aviation access to thousands of destinations that jet operators had previously been forced to serve with turboprop aircraft or simply not serve at all.

Why the PC-24 Is Genuinely Different

Every other business jet on the market was designed for paved runways. The PC-24 was designed for the same demanding operational environments as Pilatus's legendary PC-12 turboprop — remote airstrips, mountain pastures, gravel bars — but with jet performance that gets operators there faster than any turboprop and at altitudes that allow them to fly over weather that forces turboprops to navigate around it.
