1969 Piper PA-23-250 Aztec D Turbo
Description
The Piper PA-23-250 Aztec D Turbo was a twin-engine aircraft produced by Piper Aircraft between 1968 and 1969. It was an improved version of the earlier Aztec model and featured a turbocharged engine, giving it greater performance than the non-turbocharged version. The Aztec D Turbo was capable of seating six passengers, had a maximum range of 1,250 miles, and was powered by two Lycoming TIO-540-C1A6 engines. It had a maximum speed of 205 knots and a service ceiling of 17,500 feet. It also featured a retractable landing gear and was equipped with a full IFR avionics suite. The aircraft was used for a variety of purposes, including business and private transportation, air ambulance, and freight transport. It was eventually replaced by the Piper PA-31T Cheyenne II.
