1974 Aero Commander 500S
Description
The Aero Commander 500S was a twin-engine light aircraft produced by Aero Commander from 1974 to 1980. It was designed as a light business aircraft and is a stretched version of the earlier Aero Commander 500. It was powered by two Continental IO-520-C flat-six engines rated at 285hp each and could carry up to six passengers. The 500S had a maximum cruising speed of 200mph and a range of 1,400 miles. The 500S was replaced in 1980 by the improved Aero Commander 520.
